Vybz Kartel x Shenseea - Loodi The original version for Loodi was released today on Vybz Kartel Vevo with the statement "My Song Was Never A Collaboration!" This statement is literally dismissing everything that Shenseea & Romeich said previously in interviews. UK Fans Riot After Alkaline Show Cancelled, Heavy Police Presence & Helicopters In Brixton One person has been injured after fights broke out at an Alkaline gig in Brixton. Police surrounded one of  London’s biggest music venues  after fans allegedly tried to storm a sold-out concert by Jamaican dancehall singer Alkaline.  Roads around the O2 Academy Brixton were closed from 8pm with witnesses likening the scenes to a “warzone”.  The MOBO-nominated star’s headline slot was cancelled at the last minute with promoters citing fears over crowd safety. Footage posted online appears to show dozens of people forcing their way inside via a fire escape as staff and concert-goers attempted to barricade the doors. Police were called and the gig was called off The Met was called in to provide backup after the venue’s security teams were overwhelmed. One witness tweeted: “I hope no one I know got hurt at the Alkaline concert. Brixton was looking like a real war zone.”

I-Octane Talks His Mother Still Is A Street Vendor Despite His Success I-Octane mother is still a street vendor despite his massive success in dancehall. After being called out by some of his fans, the “Mama” singjay is opening up about issue revealing that it’s his mother’s choice to stick to her hustle despite her son’s wealth and support. “My mother’s reality is her vending and that is it,” the singer said. “She is not short of money or anything, but she used all her teenage years supporting us through vending.” I-Octane also reveals that he gives his mother US$1,000 each month and insists that she is not in need of anything. “So, despite the fact that I have a three storey house for my home, I have money and I gave her one floor for herself, she still doesn’t want to come there,” he added. Alkaline Dropping Sophomore Album Promises To Be Bigger Alkaline is currently working on his next big project, his sophomore album. Alkaline had one of the biggest reggae albums last year with his debut LP  New Level Unlocked  peaking at number one on the Billboard reggae album chart. After a brief stint touring overseas, the Vendetta boss returned to local soil with his first live performance in Jamaica in three years when he took the stage at New Rules last month. But since the start of the year the dancehall star has released handful of new singles prompting some fans to call for him to release more new music. Sources inside the Vendetta camp exclusively told Dancehall HipHop that one of the reasons why Alkaline hasn’t been releasing more music is because he is working on a much bigger project. “Sometime if you listen to the fans you put out a new song everyday and that can’t work because then you ended up putting out a bunch of foolishness like some other man,” sources

Singer Kim Kelly Talks Landing Vybz Kartel Collaboration These days when a new female deejay or singer want to get more attention they turn to Vybz Kartel, as in the case of Shenseea. Singer Kim Kelly also scores a collaborative single with the Worl’Boss that she is getting a lot of attention for. The single “Alive” was released in March on the Rave Riddim, produced by Silverbirds Records. Speaking with the Nightly Fix, she revealed that her producer wanted to give her career a big push so he got a collaboration with Vybz Kartel.  “This song is helping me to get more acknowledgement,” she said. “The producer had the song and I guess she just look at me and said Kim you know what you need a song to burst so he just gave me the track and I send it back to them and they mix master and release it.” She also revealed that having Vybz Kartel on the single gave it a big push. Kartel also gave Shenseea a huge push last year when they collaborated on the smash hit single “Loodi.” T

Are Popcaan and Ishawna Beefing Over Fake Collaboration Popcaan and Ishawna appears to be involved in a little beef over a song that was uploaded to YouTube this week.  A collaboration between the Unruly Boss deejay and Ishawna titled “Ready For War” made its way onto YouTube but the song turns out to be fake. Popcaan called out the single calling it unauthorized and posted a message on his Instagram when he got some push back from Ishawna and her fans. “Everyone have the right to freedom of speech and a couple more things, but guess what after you make your speech and expression,” Poppy wrote on IG. “I still don’t give a f**k, have a nice day now.. #unrulymiunruly.” Ishawna also posted a subliminal shot at the “Where We Come From” deejay. “Mi love it when dem plan up and group up, it mek it easier fi dem get shoot up,” she wrote. Non of the two deejays have confirmed the single, but sources confirmed that the single is fake.
