With several weeks to go before the release of his second studio album, Alkaline is already dominating the charts. His album  Top Prize  is the #1 pre-ordered album on all major streaming platforms, including Amazon and iTunes. Alkaline’s fans have been showing up for the artiste as they await the May 14 release of the album.  As of the time of this publication, the album was #1 in pre-orders internationally and for the Reggae charts on Amazon. Sales have also landed “Top Prize” in the best selling charts in Amazon’s Caribbean category. Boom Boom Says Skillibeng Now The Top Dancehall Artist But Lacks Versatility

Boom Boom Says Skillibeng Now The Top Dancehall Artist But Lacks Versatility Skillibeng has, no doubt, continued to aim high and make moves in the entertainment industry. But talks about the artiste’s declining song quality are once again popping up. Veteran selector Boom Boom recently expressed that while he believes Skillibeng is the “big name in Jamaica right now,” the deejay should steer clear of the same flows he has been using repetitively on many of his songs. The “Billboard Selector” made an appearance on TVJ’s Entertainment Report, which took place on Friday (April 30). Boom Boom, whose real name is Marlon Wizard, also recommended that the “Crocodile Teeth” deejay also reduce the number of tracks he has been releasing progressively. “Me caan hide him glory. A Skilli a the man right now,” Boom Boom said. But when E.R. host Anthony Miller asked if he believed all his songs were making sense, the selector responded, “Him have couple song weh him release, me see the people them st

Jada Kingdom Finds A Way To Drop New Music Amid Lawsuit

Jada Kingdom Finds A Way To Drop New Music Amid Lawsuit When you can’t beat them, join them. It seems dancehall singjay Jada Kingdom has decided to follow this old adage in hopes of getting away from her current record label. She’s reportedly found a loophole that she believes will help her to start back releasing new music as she continues to battle against her former manager. Earlier this year, in February, she opened up about some of the obstacles she was facing. She also let fans know that she wouldn’t be releasing music anytime soon, mostly because of what she called “industry politics” and a lack of management. The “Green Dreams” singer has somehow found a way to put out new music. She elatedly shared the news with her followers on Instagram yesterday (May 3). “Since I can’t release any new music yet, mi aguh remix some of my fav songs right now,” she wrote in an Instagram Story. “Let’s go crazy!” she added. She also revealed what the first remix would be. Jada shared that the

Erica also has another child, a son who is 14 years old, from a previous relationship. The couple announced the big news by way of a maternity photoshoot posted on social media. The shot, which was first posted on Erica’s page, shows the couple standing on stacks of $100 bills, and it was captioned, “More Life??? Who wants that perfect love story anyway.” She is obviously alluding to their dramatic and rocky marriage. Gyptian’s 2010 Hit ‘Hold You’ Attracts Weird TikTok Challenge

Gyptian’s 2010 Hit ‘Hold You’ Attracts Weird TikTok Challenge Reggae singer Gyptian and his 2010 hit song  Hold You  are the subject of an incredibly weird TikTok challenge. There is no telling how the challenge came about but many are speculating that it was evidently triggered by misinformed Gen-Z’ers, who have no idea what the lyrics mean or represent. This is especially apparent on one clip that’s been circulating on social media, which captures a young female crying and poorly lip-synching to Gyptian’s gold-selling record with the caption, “This song made me cry” written over the display. The weird trend was brought to the more mature public on Instagram and Twitter by many, including record company, VP Records, who produced the song.  They asked, “Why are people crying to Gyptian “Hold Yuh”?   View this post on Instagram A post shared by VP Records (@vprecords) The comments that followed had a confused set of folks questioning the authenticity of the video
