Sting Promoters Pulls Plug On 2016 Blames Vybz Kartel Absence From Dancehall Sting promoters have officially announced that they have canceled the 2016 staging of the concert.  Vybz Kartel ‘s incarceration has a big role to play in the demise of the show. Supreme Promotions principals Isaiah Laing and Heavy D sat down for an interview with Winford Williams where they break down why the show was axed this year. “Headline artists… The last two three years the headline acts just wasn’t there so there was no crowd at Sting,” Heavy D said. The promoter attribute that void in headline acts to the absence of Vybz Kartel from dancehall for the last five years. “Since Kartel gone [prison] its sad but the headline move, so we can’t get back that type of headline right now,” he added. “You can have 50 artists to work but if you don’t have two [hot artists] the other 48 don’t count.” Only a few days ago  Ninja Man  revealed that there will be no Sting 2016 and that he is in fear

Seanizzle Regains Consciousness, In Stable Condition After Four-Vehicle Accident Dancehall/Reggae Producer Seanizzle has regained consciousness as he continues to recuperate at the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) after being involved in a four-vehicle accident over the weekend. According to reports, the ‘4th Floor Riddim’ producer, real name Sean Reid, sustained serious injuries during a collision along the Washington Boulevard, beneath the overhead bridge in the vicinity of Maverley in St Andrew. Seanizzle’s vehicle was reportedly pushed over an island into oncoming traffic, where a Toyota Rav 4 slammed into his car. Meanwhile, cops say they’ve seized all four vehicles involved in the accident. Seanizzle most recent release 47 Riddim had a re-release with dancehall sensation Jahmiel titled Clear the Way, which has been gaining momentum.

Popcaan Drop $30 Million on Convertible Range Rover Evoque Popcaan will be cruising around Portmore on some new wheels. The “Unruly Boss” deejay dished out JM$30 million for a new Range Rover Evoque convertible, sources are telling us. The US dollar equivalent is around $230,000 considering that one of these SUVs MSRP in the United States is around US$50,000. But Popcaan would have to pay import duties are all kinds of other taxes to get it in the island. Popcaan is also noting that he is the first to own a convertible Range Rover in Jamaica. Vybz Kartel Promises More New Music Despite Prison Transfer Vybz Kartel promises his fans that he will still be dropping new music despite being transfer to confinement at GP. The “Dancehall Hero” deejay was abruptly transferred from the Horizon Remand Center to the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre. Authorities have yet to provide a reason for his transfer but sources are saying that he is being investigated for allegedly recording music in prison. Dancehall Artist Seanizzle Hospitalized In Critical Condition From Car Crash Dancehall artist/producer Seanizzle is currently hospitalized in critical condition after being involved in a serious car crash. Sources close to his label confirmed with Urban Islandz that the accident took place early Sunday morning while he was coming from a party. A number of local artists are taking part in an initiative against an outbreak of violence across the island particularly in Montego Bay, St. James. Speaking with Anthony Miller on ER last weekend, Masicka called Foota Hype “badmind” while alluding that he is in heavy demand in dancehall. “Foota Hype always a fight great talent that he feels will do great things,” the “Hardball” deejay said. “That is how he fought against great artists over the years. Foota Hype is one of those guys who fear and don’t like see youths succeed in life and making money. That is one of the reasons and we also put out a song with Ishawna and really a that hurt him and everyone knows that he is carrying kitty feelings.” Masicka recently collaborated with Ishawna and Bounty Killer on two singles that’s gaining traction in dancehall.

Konshens – All Day In | New Video The clip starts out with the dancehall hitmaker driving to a music festival before kicking off the song next to the sound speakers with his cup of rum in hand. “Let me go on the road, let me go in the crowd / Let me go where the music takes me love overload,” Konshens sings over a dancehall electro beat.
