Shenseea Lends Her Voice For COVID-19 PSA In Jamaica Amid Rising Cases Shenseea lends her voice and influences to issue warning about COVID-19 in Jamaica amid rising new cases. The big C, and we’re not taking cancer, has been the topic on everyone’s tongues for the past few months. The World Health Organization is working tirelessly to find ways to combat the deadly COVID-19 virus. One of the first steps in the process is public education, which the Jamaican government is looking to tap into through one of the island’s biggest stars  Shenseea .  The dancehall singer recently provided an ‘educational’ parody of her popular 2019 hit song “Trending Gyal,” coming at us in the form of a message from the Ministry of Health and Wellness. The track outlines the safety precautions to take during the pandemic and the consequences you could face if they are not observed. With lyrics like, “Covid in town, 6 feet apart than 6 feet in the ground,” and” sanitize or get hospitalized,” the song is al

Burro Banton Son Leno Banton Looks To 90s Dancehall For Career Move   Leno Banton, a promising dancehall deejay, hopes to live up to his father Burro Banton’s reputation but intends to create his own legacy to be remembered by as well. His path to this legacy starts with his brand of music, which he described as a fusion of different sounds while being interviewed by the Jamaica Gleaner. He also shared that part of his brand of music focuses on old school dub. He first introduced the world to his sound back in 2015 with his single “Yardie,” which featured a very 90’s beat with smooth flowing lyrics. While his music is classically dancehall, he said that he believes he could include any genre, including hip-hop, jazz, soul, R&B, Afrobeats, and even a touch of EDM. He’s ready once again to take his music to the next level and has taken a leave of absence from the University of Technology to focus on new music. Banton revealed that through the unwavering support from his circle, inclu

Dancehall sensation Skillibeng revised the #SillouetChallenge into a whole video lasting about roughly 2 minutes, but his take on it is on a whole new level. The music video arrives amidst the warnings to avoid doing the now trending challenge since the ‘velvet rouge’ filter can now be removed by unscrupulous persons to see the sometimes naked body of TikTokers. The scene opens with 15 beautiful ladies in a room drinking and chatting and having a good time. However, by the next frame, the ladies transform as the screen transition to a devilish red. Popular dancer Dancing Rebel opened the bedroom clip holding another female in a very sensual position while lip-sinking to Skillibeng’s voice. “Take off your clothes,” she mouths, then proceeds to lick the forehead of the unidentified female. Meanwhile, outside in the living room, it got pretty

Chimney Records’ Jordan McClure Challenge Dancehall Producers To Revive “Jugglin”

Chimney Records’ Jordan McClure Challenge Dancehall Producers To Revive “Jugglin” Can Jordan Chimney revive “Jugglin” in dancehall with his latest push? When dancehall began to take prominence in the Caribbean in the 80s and 90s, one of the major contributing factors was the juggling culture. The art helped to promote more dancehall and, in some cases, even introduced never-before-heard tracks and artists that went on to do well. A lot has changed since then, and juggling has taken a back seat, at least when compared to its heyday. Music producer Jordan McClure of the Jamaica-based Chimney Records believes it’s time to revamp the culture. The producer is well-known and is the man behind some of the most popular riddims, like the  Country Bus Riddim  in 2015 and the  Toll Road Riddim  in 2016. McClure first highlighted the issue of the dying artform using Instagram. He posted a video sharing his thoughts on the matter and captioned it “Coworkers and producers of dancehall/reggae music
